Belknap Hot Springs

Belknap Hot Springs Resort, nestled along the McKenzie River in the Willamette National Forest is a magical place filled with hidden gardens and miles of trails. There are also plenty of overnight accommodations and hot springs open every day!
Although the hot springs may be the main attraction of the resort, the incredible views and grounds are second. You must also visit the Secret Gardens, which are located on both sides the river. This will allow you to experience a magical setting. Not only are there walking paths all around, but the 26-mile long McKenzie River Trail is right at your door.
Belknap's many activities include soaking, hiking and the world-famous class III or IV rapids. Belknap hotsprings offers facilities for weddings or special events.
On arrival, there will be two hot spring mineral pools made of concrete. The lower pool is available to everyone and is located by the McKenzie River, near the main lodge. Lower pool reservations are not necessary. The upper pool is available for overnight guests. It is smaller and is located higher up than the RV sites and cabins.
Both pools maintain temperatures of 92°F in summer, and 102°F in winter. Perfect for soaking! The pool lights are changed to create a serene, dreamy atmosphere as the steam rises.
All children must at least be two years old and be fully potty-trained. The pools are not permitted to be used with swim diapers. The Belknap hotsprings water is treated using chlorine.
The day hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 9:00PM April 1st - September 30,th. Winter hours are 9:00 AM to 8:00PM. Overnight guests can use the pool on Friday and Saturday only.

You can choose from a variety of overnight accommodations. Enjoy a night in your tent, RV, lodge or cabin. Access to the pool is a bonus for overnight guests. It's not available to daytime guests.
Place your tent in a large, private spot nestled among the trees that runs alongside the river. Do you feel less like "roughing is"? You can relax in your RV while enjoying a scenic spot by the river or woods. Choose from one of 19 lodge rooms or any of the 8 cabins, which all have kitchens and comfortable furnishings. The cabins can accommodate anywhere from 2-14 people. All options offer the peace and beauty of being in nature. Highway 242 is also home to seven Mountain rental homes.
Belknap is pet friendly. The lodge has a small shop where you can buy ice, drinks, snacks and other items. WiFi is available in the lodge. The lodge's front desk is open daily from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. during peak summer season. Reservations are strongly recommended.
You should note that the best times to camp are in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Lodging Fees
Tent Camping: $30 per night. $8.00 per additional occupant per night, up to 6 people maximum per site.
Camping in an RV: $35 per Night for a water/electric spot. For full hookups, it costs $40 Double occupancy. $8.00 per additional person per day, with a maximum of 6 persons per site.
Lodge Rooms: Rates start at $110 per night and go up to $185 per day
Cabins: Rates from $135 to $550 per Night
One pet per reservation: $10.00 A 9.8% lodging tax is added to the published rates.
R. S. Belknap created Belknap Hot Springs initially in 1869. A post office was set up at the site in 1874. It was called "Salt Springs". The name changed to "Salt Springs" by 1875. The post office was closed in 1877, but it was reopened by 1891. They continued to work intermittently until 1953.
Belknap, steeped in history, was once a place to be for stars like Cary Grant. This resort is the last of several similar establishments that were scattered throughout Lane County in the late 1800s. Apart from the decade 1968-1978, the resort has been continuously in operation since the 1870s.
