The water is heated to 104 degrees after it reaches the ground at more than 130 degrees. Avila Hot Springs is not permitted to be used by children under eight years of age.
Overnight accommodations are available in a variety of options. A cabin can be rented that includes a queen, two or more bunk beds, a fully-equipped bathroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen. It comfortably sleeps four people. The cabins include cable television, a refrigerator and a microwave. Avila Hot Spring offers both RV and camping parking. Avila Hot Spring offers water slides as well as a pool.
Drillers looking for oil discovered the hot springs accidentally in 1907. Since then, it has been established by the Budan family as a natural mineral water attraction. It is now a favourite getaway location for families who like the pools and waterslides at the facility. Avila Beach was a region well-known for its hot springs. This region was very popular in the mid to late 19th Century among Mexican and Spanish settlers as well as celebrities and high net worth individuals who visited this area for the healing and curative benefits of the mineral springs.
The hot springs offer therapeutic benefits. You can choose to either purchase a day pass, or stay over by renting an RV, tent, or cabin. The day pass gives you unlimited access to the pool and mineral pool. Adults (16 and older) pay $12 for a full day pass, while children 15 and older and senior citizens 55 and older pay $10. A tent site or RV can be rented for $45 per night. Additional people up to six pay $10 each. Night rates for the cabins are $150 on Mondays and Tuesdays, $125 on Wednesdays, and $175 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. Holiday rates for cabins start at $200.
Avila Hot Springs can be visited all year round. Because of seasonal availability, it's a good idea that you book your cabins ahead of time. The facility is busy on weekends and in summer but not so much during weekdays.

Continue on Highway 101 South and take Exit 195 towards Avila Beach Drive. Avila Hot Springs is 0.2 miles away when you turn right at Avila Beach Dr.
From Pismo Beach:
Take Highway 101 North to Avila beach Drive. Turn left onto Avila beach Drive. You will arrive at Avila Hot Springs in 0.3 mi.
