A small wooden structure can be found at the East side of the parking area. The pipe is where water flows. This is the Prentice Spring, located on the shores Lake Superior. The city captured it for their use many years ago. Fill your bottles with water, or place your hand on the spout and drink "fountain-style" from the small hole in the top.
