Maple Spring, Siskiyou County, CA

Description:
This natural spring water is ancient and sacred and is privately owned and run as a cabin resort. It used to be available for rent, camping etc. but as reported, it has been shut down by the new owners. The icy cold water flows continuously in a stream down a rocky slope. The site being privately owned is not accessible to the tourists and is not suitable for drinking as the reported TDS is 3470. The spring is said to have healing properties and it is located in the middle of a forest but has unfortunately been overtaken. Similar resorts have opened in the area to make up for the demand.

Assuming you are starting from the nearest town of Weed, CA, USA, take the Interstate 5 highway heading northwest. The distance is 8.6 miles and is set to take you somewhere between 20 to 25 minutes. After 3.3 miles, take Exit 751 towards Edgewood and travel another 0.2 miles before turning left onto Edgewood Road. At the next intersection, turn right onto Stewart Springs Road and move another 0.5 miles before finally turning left to stay on Stewart Springs Road. Stay on the twisty road for the next 4.6 miles, passing the Pneuma Retreat Center and finding the destination on the right side of the road.
