Description

Sofiaspring was once an internationally renowned spa with two sources.
Today, there is only one operating - but it is equally special. It is Scandinavia's only natural saltwater supply, a saline water source discovered in the 1880s.
It was believed to be beneficial in the treatment of indigestion, bronchitis, and other ailments.
This is a lovely spring that lies in the middle of the city. I did not know about it growing up in Helsingborg.
Living in New York for so long, and knowing the value of fresh water, I googled springs Helsingborg. I was here for a while, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was there. This spring came up.
I filled up 5 bottles today at the store and am now super excited.
The water is extremely salty. The water is not recommended for drinking. The spring is stunning and has just been restored. It is easy to locate.
I'm going to try it for a couple of weeks and let you know how it makes me feel. I tried it today, and so far it is good.
It is very slow right now, so be aware. It took me around 15 minutes to fill 2 gallons.
If you want an incredible source for other springs in Sweden then check out this site: http://apps.sgu.se/kartvisare/kartvisare-kallor-sv.html - it has hundreds of springs located all around Sweden (Say whaaaat?!!)
Enjoy.
