The water flows along the trail in three places. Each spring is surrounded by stone markers. The elevation is 1200'
"The water comes directly out of the ground. There is no pipe. You might find the spring to be shallow at times. To make it more potable, bring a smaller container. Since 2005, my friends and family have enjoyed this water multiple times without having to boil or filter it. Alexander Staff: "No giardia, Cryptosporidium, or other ill effects have so far been observed."

Spring can only been accessed on foot. It can also be quite steep at times. At the junction of Blue Mountain Rd. and Trailhead, park. Follow the Appalachian Trail North, crossing Route 61. The spring can be found about 3 miles from the intersection.
