Straight from the hard rock, pure spring water. Clear, cold, and delicious. A little lichen or moss may grow in the pipes. Unsure of the results, but all people I have spoken to love the water and have no problems.

Take Hwy 50 east from Gunnison to Monarch Pass. Look for the long turnout on your left (North Side of Hwy), about 1/2 mile before you reach the Runaway Truck Ramp. Turn left if you don't see the Truck Ramp. Take Hwy 50 west from Salida and cross Monarch Pass. Keep your eyes peeled for Run Away Truck Ramp on the west side. Half a mile past the ramp is the long turnout. Spring can be found at this lower end. If you reach Sargents, turn around, you've gone too far.
