Thomasburg Ontario: Easy access spring. Since the 1800's, the spring has been a support for the original settlers. Just off Hwy 37, between Belleville und Tweed.

Small springs emerge from the rock and flow into the river. It is located between the Catwalk and the next large rapids downstream. You can see the suicide rapids at the end of the river from the beach side.
Continue following the trails until you come to a river bank of clear rock above the bend in the river. You will see the spring. Salamanders are most likely to be found if you raise any rocks from the cold stream of water.
It is also possible to get there via Summit Trail (also known as Cemetery side road).
It may be difficult to collect water because it flows over relatively flat rocks.
