Name of Waterfall

Blanche, Cascade

Description

This waterfall makes 4 successive leaps down a verdant valley wall in the steep canyon of the Bras de Caverne River. French topographical maps compared with aerial photography clearly show a falls well in excess of 500 meters, our feeling is 640 meters is about accurate as the falls start at about the 840 meter contour and peter out at the 200 meter contour shortly above the point where the waters of Ravine Blanche enter the waters of the Bras de Caverne. The tallest drop alone is a clear 400 meter horsetail waterfall that stands out in stark contrast to the deep green of the jungle festooned cliff wall. The falls are named for the stream on which they exist.
