Name of Waterfall

Coventry Falls

Description

Just south of the intersection of Routes 5 and 14 in Coventry, turn onto Main Street and then turn right onto Heermansville Road. Drive for 3/10 of a mile and park just before the bridge over the Black River, in the small turnout. There is a short trail that leads to the falls. In years past, the owner has been friendly and allows people to visit the falls. Since this is privately held land, please be courteous and respectful visitors. The Black River meanders peacefully through a broad valley then makes a turn and enters wide gorge, splitting around a rocky outcropping and dropping over a pair of successive ledges and forming a broad and choppy pool.
