About This Waterfall
Anna Ruby Falls is the name that has been collectively given to side-by-side falls along York and Curtis Creeks. The right segment of the falls, along York Creek, drops 60 feet in a single plunging fall. The left side, along Curtis Creek, drops an impressive 230 feet in three tiers, with the tallest drop standing about 110 feet itself - this places Anna ruby Falls not only among the tallest in Georgia, but also among the taller waterfalls in the entire Appalacian Mountains. The height of the falls is commonly reported to be 153 feet, however highly accurate one-meter resolution lidar data available from the USGS clearly indicates the height to be around 72 meters in all.
