About This Waterfall
This waterfall occurs below the Sultartangi Dam along the Tungnaá at its former confluence with the Þjorsá. The dam has resulted in the river diverting above the falls, and the primary spillway appears to funnel the water down an adjacent channel, so it is unknown if the falls actually flow any longer. Whatever the case, the falls were not likely very large.We've seen this waterfall marked on some maps as Tangafoss (or at least assume the names apply to the same waterfall).
