About This Waterfall

Begbie Falls is a pretty waterfall, well worth visiting, but only so long as you choose the right trailhead for your purposes. There are two ways to get to the scenic 40 foot falls – you can either hike about 2 kilometers to the falls from Highway 23, or you can drive to the Begbie Falls Recreation Site and walk 200 meters to the falls from the roads end. If you prefer a quick visit, the problem is finding the right road to turn on. As of 2006 the only signs seen in the area denoting the falls were at the upper trailhead along Highway 26 (the 2km variant). While this route isn’t difficult and passes a small upper falls, it isn’t worth hiking to this waterfall when you can drive to it. The correct access is from Mount Begbie Road, about 2 km north of Begbie Creek. Open notice to the BC Forest Service; maps would be a useful thing to have at your developed trailheads.
