About This Waterfall
Bluff Falls is suspected to be located on the Hokitika River deep in a remote part of the Southern Alps. The one reference we had seen suggested the falls stood 600 meters tall, however topographic data points to it being more like 350 meters (if this is indeed the correct feature to be labeled as Bluff Falls). The volume of the falls should be considerable, but due to its remote location, pictures have not yet surfaced.Whether this is actually the name of the falls or not is unknown, but this reference stems from the Bluff Hut situated on a ridge above the falls.
