Name of Waterfall

Boones Creek Falls

Description

The story goes that Daniel Boone hid behind these falls (at the time the falls were four feet high) from Indians that were persuing him. The Indians were startled by Boone's sudden disappearance and feared a supernatural spirit was at work. We surmise from this that the falls are travertine based and might have been altered by floods. Historical though they might be, a 2 foot drop is far outside the acceptable scope of our definition of Waterfall.
