About This Waterfall
The Brietenbush Cascades are a long series of falls at the head of Breitenbush Canyon near Mount Jefferson in the north-central Oregon Cascades. Initially it was unclear whether or not the entire drop to the floor of the canyon would be consistent and congruent waterfalls, however after re-evaluating topographic data and aerial imagery it seems likely that there are at least three distinct sets of waterfalls in this area - if not more, each dropping at least 100 feet, but probably not more than 200 feet each. There is no developed access to this waterfall.A sign tacked on a tree near where the road crosses the North Fork of the North Fork Breitenbush River points to "Charlies Falls", a name likely given by a local who visited often. The USGS has long had this feature, at least in part, labeled as the Breitenbush Cascades.
