About This Waterfall
Though it is far and away the tallest waterfall in Tennessee, Buckeye Falls cannot be thought of as a significant waterfall by any metric other than its height. The stream producing the falls drains from an exceedingly small area, such that the falls will only see a substantial flow following periods of prolonged rain fall or snow melt. During the summer months the only indication that a waterfall exists here may be a dark, wet stain on the cliff face.
