About This Waterfall
Bucking Mule Falls is arguably the most impressive waterfall in Wyoming's Big Horn Mountains. The reported height of the falls seems to vary wildly depending on the sources - some claim 300 feet, some claim 400 feet, one we've seen even suggests a 600 foot drop. In reality the falls are more like 180 feet tall at best, and possibly less than that even. These other inaccurate height reports likely come from the fact that the viewpoint for the falls is situated over 600 feet above the bottom of the canyon.
