About This Waterfall
Topographic maps mark a waterfall with a drop of 124 meters along the stream known as The Cabin Boy which drains from Cloudmaker Lake. Contour lines and topographic models however show the total drop of the waterfall to be considerably taller. Comparing 1:50,000 topographic maps with the imagery available on Google Earth, the total drop of this waterfall looks to be in the range of 700 to 750 meters, and potentially as much as 800 meters at the high end, give or take. The total drop of the stream from Cloudmaker Lake to the end of the bedrock which makes up the wall of the valley appears to be in the range of 900-1000 meters, however this does not appear to be one continuous and congruous series of waterfalls, but rather two (or more) distinct and entirely separate waterfalls.
