Deep underground springs emanate from a small cave on the preserve's north hollow trails. Each year, it produces between 200 and 400 gallons of water per minute.

Downtown Cookeville (Interstate 40 & Willow Ave SR135): 1) Continue north on Willow Ave, SR135 for 10 miles. This becomes Dodson Branch Highway. 2) After passing Anita's Cafe on the left, turn right onto Zion Road. 3) In less than half an mile, make your first right onto Albert Swift Lane. 6) Follow the road along the side and follow the trail to the mailbox or cabin. This will take you half a mile down into the hollows.
