About This Waterfall

Chambers Creek Falls is an exceptionally scenic 63 foot veil, dropping into an equally exceptional swimming hole at the head of a modest gorge hidden away in the middle of pretty much nothing at all. After visiting the site, I'm a little bit surprised the falls are even marked on the maps because its not obvious at all that it even exists until you're standing at the rim of the canyon and it can't be seen from anywhere except its base. I'm assuming the falls were discovered by loggers in the area, as there is evidence of an old logging road running near the top of the falls. I hunted this one down the same day I did Walupt Creek Falls, and while I was left alone at Walupt, I was practically gang raped by mosquitoes at the base of Chambers Creek Falls. In the 15 minutes it took me to walk from my car, scramble down to the falls, take 4 pictures, measure the falls and scramble back up, I sustained 56 bites between my bicep and mid-forearm on both arms combined. Made me regret not looking for my misplaced bug spray earlier in the day. Don't make the same mistake I did.
