Deserted River Falls

We had previously suspected a lofty series of cascades flowing out of Deserted Lake, perhaps dropping in excess of 2000 feet in all. However with recent updates to the imagery and terrain models available on Google Earth have shown this to likely not be the case. It appears there may be as many as three distinct waterfalls on this stretch of the Deserted River, with the tallest standing around 500 feet tall at most - the other two being considerably smaller - but a more accurate idea of the scale of the falls is not yet possible. What is apparent is that the pitch of the river in this section is not steep enough to be considered one interconnected series of falls and cascades.
