Name of Waterfall

Dinkey Creek Falls

Description

Dinkey Creek is pockmarked with waterfalls - the various USGS quadrangles mark no less than half a dozen falls along its length - but the largest of the bunch is in a class of its own. The steep cascading falls drop somewhere around 400 feet down a long, sluicing gorge which is pockmarked with potholes that, were they accessible, would serve as excellent swimming basins. Access to this waterfall may prove difficult but should clear views be attained, this may prove to be one of the best falls in the southern Sierra.
