About This Waterfall
Popular wisdom suggests that Dukes Creek Falls is the name applied to the large falls on Davis Creek as it cascades into the narrow valley of Dukes Creek. The USGS topographic maps however do not denote the falls on Davis Creek with a tick mark, but instead mark the smaller neighboring falls on Dukes Creek itself. It may be that this waterfall should indeed be known as Davis Creek Falls, and Dukes Creek Falls should accurately apply to the falls on its namesake creek.
