About This Waterfall
Eyjabakkafoss is located upstream of Ufsarlón, which was formed with the completion of the dam on the Jökulsá í Fljótsdal which diverted part of the river into the Hálslón hydroelectric project. The falls may be partially or entirely submerged beneath the lake, however as they are located at the immediate upstream end, its possible that it may have avoided being submerged.
