Like every other stream entering the Yoho Valley, Fairy Creek drops over a series of waterfalls. The falls on Fairy Creek, however, are perhaps the most difficult to see of any of the tributaries in the valley. Fairy Creek drops about 1900 feet over the 2km run between Fairy Lake and its confluence with the Yoho River, along which there are at least three distinct waterfalls - the tallest of which is probably not more than 150 feet in height. Despite the great loss in elevation only fleeting glimpses of any of the falls are possible. Portions of the lower drops can be seen through the trees near the bridge over Twin Falls Creek along the Yoho Valley Trail, and clearer views of some of the upper falls can be had from the switchbacks on the Little Yoho Valley Trail as it climbs from Laughing Falls to the junction with the Marpole Lake Trail. Without fording the cold and very swift Yoho River, there is absolutely no way to get close to this series of falls.
