The 1984 Ketchikan 63k series USGS topographic map shows a distinct feature labeled simply as Fish Ladder at this location. Additionally the USGS GNIS database seems to catalog this feature a waterfall, however there is no distinct indication that the feature is indeed a waterfall - though the reasoning for a man made fish ladder to be built at this location would be questionable at best.
