About This Waterfall
Gopher Falls is one of a series of waterfalls located near the extensive Nakimu Cave system in Glacier National Park. The falls are located along a tributary to Cougar Creek as it drops approximately 8-9 meters into a sinkhole system known as Gopher Pit. Access to the Nakimu Caves is heavily restricted to a limited number of parties each year. It is not known whether Gopher Falls can be accessed without entering the caves. Attempting to find the falls is not recommended without specific directions due to the potentially deadly terrain in the area and large population of Grizzly Bears which live in the Cougar Creek valley.
