About This Waterfall
Greenbrook Falls tumbles down the Palisades of the Hudson River, directly across from the northernmost end of The Bronx. With a cumulative drop of 250 feet in between 5 and 8 distinct steps (how exactly they are broken up is not entirely clear yet), the falls are the tallest in New Jersey by a considerable margin. Due to limited access and the steep cliffs surrounding the falls, only parts of the falls can be seen from any given perspective - usually either from the base of the falls or from the bridge along Hudson Parkway.
