About This Waterfall

Starting out in the town of Randle, follow SR 131 south and left at the junction (towards Trout Lake). Turn left onto North Fork Cispus Road # 22 after traveling for 11 1/2 miles from Randle. Follow FR 22 to the end of the pavement (6 miles) and turn right onto FR 78. About 4 1/4 miles from FR 22 the falls will be encountered on the right. When Grouse Creek has ample flow, this is a moderately interesting cascade, however once the creek starts to dry out in the early summer, the falls lose much of their appeal and visibility. Grouse Creek skips about 35 feet down a solid slab of bedrock before sliding under the road and disappearing down the hill. The falls are lined with very thick brush in the middle of a clear cut, in some places encroaching so tightly on the falls that it is hard to see from the road when the brush is leafed out. I don't suggest spending a whole lot of time here - this waterfall is likely only of interest to the dedicated.
