About This Waterfall
Haig Glacier Falls is among the tallest waterfalls in Alberta, and that its stream originates in a large glacier it also has the potential to be one of the best waterfalls in Alberta, if not the whole of the Canadian Rocky Mountains - due to the combination of height and significant volume. Topographic data seems to be oddly lacking in detail in this area, but based on the maps available the falls appear to drop between 300 and 350 meters in at least five distinct steps. What makes the falls especially unique however is a massive natural bridge which spans across the face of the falls approximately halfway down its descent.
