About This Waterfall
Hangandvikfossen is a tall but moderately low volume waterfall which can be seen dropping almost directly into the Saudafjorden near Route 520. We had previously thought the falls to be approximately 160 meters (510 feet) tall, however after examining topographic maps and aerial imagery, it's clear it's actually nearly twice that height. Only a fraction of the falls can be seen from the adjacent road however, a full unobstructed view can be best obtained from boat on the Saudafjorden.
