About This Waterfall
With a sheer leap of 209 feet, Hemmed In Hollow Falls is said to be the tallest waterfall between the Rocky Mountains and Appalacian Mountains - there may however be even taller waterfalls in Arkansas which would usurp this distinction should measurements prove them such. The stream producing the falls is rather small however, so the falls only flow with any sort of impact during the winter months, and like many waterfalls in Arkansas will dry out entirely between July and October, save for periods of heavy or prolonged rainfall.
