About This Waterfall
This waterfall is formed along the same ledge that forms Buðafoss, which occurs on a different channel of the Þjórsá that splits off and flows to the south around a large island. The two falls, even though they are situated on the same river, and are formed by the same bedrock formation, are positioned over 2 miles apart.
