About This Waterfall
High Falls Gorge along the West Branch Ausable River is a moderately popular pay-for-access tourist attraction. The river drops down a narrow canyon in three sections, creating an 80-foot tall set of waterfalls. The three sections of the falls have been named individually - Main Falls, Rainbow Falls and Climax Falls descending from top to bottom - but the whole series is and has been known collectively as High Falls for decades. As of 2012, admission to view the falls is $11.00 per adult.
