About This Waterfall
Ingram Falls is a frequently overlooked counterpart to the impressive Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride. Instead of being visible more or less at eye level, Ingram Falls drops out of a basin over 2,000 feet above the town, falling somewhere around 280 feet in three steps - the largest being a prominent 175 foot plunge. The infamous Black Bear Pass road - said to be the most dangerous road in the United States - climbs extremely steeply up to Ingram Basin above the falls, crossing the falls between the two largest tiers (without the aid of a bridge).
