Name of Waterfall

Iron Creek Falls

Description

From the town of Randle, follow FR 25 south towards Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument (Windy Ridge) for 19 miles to the signed trailhead on the left (east) side of the road. Park and follow the short trail to the base of the falls in a few hundred feet.Iron Creek forms one of the prettier waterfalls in the area as it sluices through a channeled cliff and shoots powerfully into a large blue pool before fanning out over gravel bars and entering a small, shallow gorge just downstream. While the falls are quite powerful in the early summer, they become tame and quite photogenic as the year progresses. This is a perfect place to bring the kids to splash around and play in the creek.
