About This Waterfall
Kay Falls is hidden just south of the Trans-Canada Highway to the west of Three Valley Gap. The falls can be found at a pair of wide turnouts on either side of the highway adjacent to a bridge over the Eagle River 3.6km to the east of Crazy Creek. A trail climbs to the base of the falls in about 150 feet.Kay Falls is an easily accessible though well hidden veiling waterfall located in the Three Valley Gap area between Revelstoke and Sicamous along the Trans-Canada Highway. The falls spray down a zigzagging gash in the bedrock before veiling to its base, dropping 187 feet feet just above the highway, but because trees encroach the stream below the falls there is a window of only about 45 feet of the highway where the falls are even partially visible. It is suspected that the falls may be significantly taller than our measurement suggests – possibly by as much as another hundred feet - but because of the level of foreshortening present, it may be impossible to truly gauge the height of the falls without scaling the mountain adjacent to the falls.
