About This Waterfall
Kerkeslin Falls is a fairly tall but very low volume waterfall draining the northwest side of Mount Kerkeslin in Jasper National Park. The falls are partially (but distantly) visible from the Athabasca Falls area but close approaches require off-trail travel. Reports from ice climbers place the total height of the falls at over 1000 feet. Extensive talus slopes near the base of the falls call into question the exact position of the bottom of the falls so we cannot yet determine whether this height range is accurate.
