About This Waterfall

Located east of Patterson Mountain near Oakridge. Drive 4 miles west of the bridge over the Willamette River just outside of Oakridge to the Shady Dell Campground, and turn left. Immediately bear left on FR 5847 and proceed uphill for 4 ½ miles and bear left at the major junction leading downhill. Follow this slightly rougher, more overgrown road for another 1.9 miles to the roadside waterfall. Were the upper tier of this 30-foot fall not completely buried in a pile of wood and debris, this would be a rather scenic little waterfall. Since this is currently not the case, I wouldn't recommend going out of the way to visit this waterfall. If you happen to be passing by, it's worth a look, but the road that accesses the falls isn't a heavily traveled route. I visited the falls in mid June, and the stream was flowing pretty well considering its drainage size, but I imagine it would be a much better waterfall earlier in the year - more volume in the creek might allow the upper tier to present itself.
