About This Waterfall
Kvasnikoff Falls is a massive nearly vertical waterfall found in the southwestern corner of Kenai Fjords National Park. The falls drop at least 700 feet in a booming column of water, and some sources of information suggest the height may be closer to 900 feet. There appears to be a smaller lower tier to the falls, so the height figures may or may not account for the roughly 100 foot drop of the lower tier as well. Topographic data suggests that 900 feet is certainly in the realm of possibility. The falls are in a totally undeveloped area and can only be seen in entirety from aircraft, though they should be at least partially visible from a watercraft on North Arm.
