About This Waterfall
Lawton Valley Falls is one of two naturally occurring waterfalls known to exist in the State of Rhode Island - this one actually occurs on the Island of Rhode Island, downstream of Route 114 below the Lawton Valley Reservoir. The falls appear to be a small set of cascades dropping perhaps 10-15 feet.Though this waterfall is not very significant by any measure, the name is historically accurate, dating back at least as far as 1911 when it appeared on at least one run of linen postcards.
