About This Waterfall
Little Falls is located along Steamboat Creek Road # 38, about 1 mile north of Highway 138 in Steamboat - itself about 18 miles east of Idleyld Park.Little Falls is a modest waterfall along Steamboat Creek that lives up to its name. The falls drop about 10 feet into a series of deep pools about 1 mile above the mouth of Steamboat Creek, breaking into two or three channels when the creek runs low in the summer. The pools below the falls look very inviting to swim in and Steamboat Creek is a protected salmon stream, so this is probably a good waterfall to watch fish jumping. There are many waterfalls in the area that are greatly superior to this, so don't spend a whole lot of time here for the waterfall itself.
