About This Waterfall
Little Grizzly Fall is a sliding cascade type waterfall along the Merced River located between Nevada Falls and Bunnell Cascade at the upper end of Little Yosemite Valley. An 1872 image credited to Eadward Muybridge depicting this waterfall has it captioned as Little Grizzly Fall, and also refers to Moraine Dome immediately above as Helmet Dome. Both these names seem to only be attached to Muybridge's photographs so it is not known if they were ever accepted more broadly or adopted in any sense (both have long fallen into disuse).
