About This Waterfall
Livingstone Falls is a set of rapids on the Congo River near the point where the Congo crosses entirely into the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The rapids don't appear to have much of a vertical drop, perhaps 20 to 30 feet over a run of 300-500 feet. This really is about as far from being a legitimate waterfall as possible. Livingstone Falls is very often cited as being a series of rapids and cataracts dropping 900 feet over a 220 mile stretch of the Congo River, however most (if not all) of the individual falls are named themselves - nevermind the fact that if we are to consider the waterfall to stretch over 200 miles in length, it would essentially allow any stream with any loss in elevation to be considered a waterfall as well.
