About This Waterfall
Los Chorros de Cura is a tall, moderate volume waterfall found in the east-central part of the Venezuelan state of Aragua. The falls are said to have a cumulative drop of 821 meters (2,693 feet) in three distinct tiers - 350 meters (1,148 feet), 220 meters (720 feet), and 80 meters (260 feet) respectively, with presumably the remainder of the height occurring as cascades between the three major tiers. Though the Google Earth terrain model for this part of the world is not terribly accurate, the loss of elevation is plainly evident. Its unclear how accurate the measurements attributed to this waterfall are, but should they prove to be so, this would make Los Chorros de Cura one of the 15 tallest waterfalls on the planet.
