Lost Creek Falls

Description

Lost Creek Falls is truly "lost". The falls were only recently marked on the USGS Little Huckleberry Mountain quadrangle, but upon visiting the falls, not only was the road leading there decommissioned, but the falls were missing too - dried out that is. Though the map doesn't show a large stream feeding the falls, I thought it would retain at least some flow into august since it drains from one of the most porous plateaus in the state - the Indian Heaven volcanic field - but apparently that isn't the case. The falls are accessed via decommissioned logging road that has been extensively bermed. A high clearance vehicle is necessary to drive as far as possible, otherwise I'd suggest biking to the falls to save on time.
