About This Waterfall

To reach the Baker Lake area, proceed east on US 20 from the Burlington / Sedro Woolley area to the signed turn for Baker Lake (FR # 11) in Birdsview. Follow Road # 11 for 18.5 miles to the Boulder Creek Bridge (spectacular views of Mt. Baker here). Just beyond the bridge, turn left onto Road # 1130. Follow 1130 for 3.6 miles to the concrete culvert crossing of Morovitz Creek where the falls practically spray onto the road before flowing under it.Most people proceeding to the Rainbow Falls viewpoint will probably notice this rather ugly waterfall on Morovitz Creek splashing down next to road 1130, but few, I imagine, stop to photograph it. Though I stumbled upon this one merely by accident, I was pretty certain there was a waterfall along Morovitz Creek which could be accessed from a road (Upper Morovitz Falls turned out to be just the one I was thinking of). Unless you're a die-hard waterfall collector, such as myself, viewing this one from the car window is probably sufficient enough (in lieu of the two nicer falls further along the road).
