About This Waterfall
McAbee Falls is marked on the USGS 7-1/2 inch quadrangle topographic maps, and is listed in the USGS GNIS database as a waterfall, however in reality it is a very minor set of rapids (at best) and does not meet the criteria to be classified as a waterfall. The vertical drop of the feature is no more than 1-2 feet, if even that much, over a linear run of about 50 feet.
