About This Waterfall
A short distance downstream of the large meadow filled basin below Berdeen Lake fledgling Bacon Creek spills down a pretty three-stepped cascade into a narrow gorge, and then runs directly into Lower Berdeen Lake. The falls drop a total of 86 feet, with individual steps of 12, 29 and 45 feet. Viewing the falls from the side, or from the rim of the canyon one is not afforded the ability to see the base of the largest tier, and likewise if viewing the falls from the bottom of the gorge looking upstream, the two upper tiers are not visible. Additionally, when observing the falls from the rim of the gorge, the upper and middle tiers can be viewed in tandem with the top of Upper Berdeen Falls located across the large meadow just upstream of the top of the falls.
